EMEA – Finance Director

About the Role

FiSearch has been engaged on a search for an EMEA Finance Director for a $250m US business. Spearheading their EMEA expansion, you will be the first ‘boots on the ground’ in NL. This is a broad, very hands-on role in a startup division, and would suit someone looking to step into their first FD role. The ideal candidate would have a strong grounding in practice and have start up experience.

Looking after all things accounting for the UK and Europe, experience with UK & Dutch standards is essential. This is a huge opportunity for someone to accelerate their career in a business expanding rapidly. This role will report into C-Suite, and include occasional travel to London and New York.

The EMEA Finance Director will be responsible for:

● Managing payroll and employee benefits
● Manage accounts payable and receivable
● Reconciling intercompany transactions
● Reporting and filing VAT and Tax returns across the EU and UK
● Management of importing documentation and VAT filing for importing goods into the EU and the UK
● Preparing financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
● Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
● Bank reconciliations
● Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations: local and international
● Communicating and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders
● Responding to inquiries from internal and external customers
● Providing technical support and guidance to other team members
● Experience with financial software and systems
● Consulting on internal projects that require financial expertise
